SURFING ON LLANGENNITH BEACH WALES

Spent the Sunday in Wales Surfing on Llangennith Beach, the waves were 6ft tall and had a frequency of about 5 seconds. We hired some of our gear from PJ'S Surf Shop in the Village just about a mile from the beach a 5 Mil Wet Suit and a Long Board for £21.00 which is a really good price. If you do hire kit always check it for dings and scrapes we found a crack in the board and swapped it for another one.

Once you have been surfing you are always hungry and there is a really nice cafe called Fast Eddy's, the food is great and the portion sizes are healthy, It has recently changed hands but the place it is still as good as it was this used to be a Wedding Venue but I am not sure if it now is.
This is not quite Arrifana but it is not far off of it, the Waves are just as good and the Water is just as clear, so if you are thinking of going surfing in the UK why not check out the Gower Peninsula .
All Pics Arrifana Beach Portgual and Surf School Monte Clego Portugal (left the camera at home).
